Cynthia Morgan in trouble over unpaid rent tax evasion

Cynthia Morgan in trouble over unpaid rent, tax evasion For a long time, nothing has been heard from one of Nigeria’s prominent female reggae artistes, Cynthia Morgan, and people have been asking questions. In fact, her absence from social events and even the social media has been so conspicuous that Nollywood actress, Adesua Wellington, in a tweet last week, asked about her whereabouts. Saturday Beats  can authoritatively state that the music artiste, who once headlined top shows in the country, is facing financial difficulties at the moment. Saturday Beats  exclusively obtained court documents showing that Cynthia Morgan has been charged to the Ikeja High Court for failure to pay her rent at her Omole apartment. Sadly, it was learnt that on the same day the artiste was served court papers for defaulting on payment of rent, she was also served with court papers for evading tax. A source close to the owner of the apartment where Cynthia Morgan currently lives told  Satur

UK refuses to issue visa to 100 doctors

UK refuses to issue visa  The United Kingdom has refused to issue visa to 100 doctors from India. Dr. Sanjay Arya, medical director at the Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh trust, has said that the visa refusals would have a “huge impact on patient care and on patients’ safety”. He added: “I see it every day that there are gaps on the rota. The existing doctors are working long hours, which is very tiring and makes them an unsafe doctor. If we had the pool of highly qualified doctors coming from overseas, it is only going to help our patients and our NHS.” Danny Mortimer, chief executive of NHS Employers, said that he had heard of 400 further cases of overseas doctors having their visas being blocked since December. He said: “We have examples of clinics being cancelled and delays in terms of patients receiving care. It exacerbates pressures in what are relatively small medical teams.” A Home Office spokeswoman said that the system was in the “national interest”, adding th

Rohr set to invite Italy based striker worries over iwobi

Rohr set to invite Italy-based striker, worries over Iwobi Alex Iwobi’s current poor form is  a major worry for Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr, our correspondent has learnt. The 21-year-old forward, who burst onto the scene  in 2015  and enjoyed starting roles   in Arsenal’s  first squad until last season, has  copped heavy criticism  this term because of his inconsistency and paltry form. Iwobi, who sent many Super Eagles fans into a frenzy  when he  switched his international allegiance to Nigeria from England in 2017, has only scored two Premier League goals in 21 appearances.  And his  poor form has  also sparked concerns that the former England junior international’s inclusion in  Nigeria’s Russia 2018 World Cup squad may not benefit the Eagles much.  With Kelechi  Iheanacho struggling at  Leicester City,    our correspondent learnt that Rohr  fears  that  he could  have China-based striker Odion Ighalo as the only trusted  top striker in Russia.
